On Monday 15th June 2026 I headed up to Newcastle for Atomicon 2026. Having attended…

There is no one universal best scalable offer for every business and that’s why the most popular scalable offer in your industry might be wrong for your business. If you are thinking about creating a scalable offer and have started to look around your industry to see what other businesses are doing there is bound to be a popular option. But just because a scalable is popular in your industry, in fact, even if it is working really well for many businesses in your industry that doesn’t mean it is the right scalable offer for your business. Keep on reading to find out why the most popular scalable offer in your industry might be wrong for your business.

WHY ADDING A SCALABLE OFFER IS ONE OF THE SMARTER THINGS YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR ONE-TO-ONE SERVICE BUSINESS
1 – Makes it more financially resilient
As a one-to-one service business, there are inherent financial vulnerabilities. There is the fact that if you are unable to work, you can’t make money. For one-to-one service businesses that work with clients over short periods of time or they pay upfront, there is also the reality that a quiet sales month means a low revenue month too. The right scalable offer can help to address these financial weaknesses.
For example, you can create a scalable offer that provides a passive income source. This means that if you are unable to work, you could still make money (as long as you have found a way to market that passive income product without you having to be actively involved).
Another example is you can choose a scalable offer that gives you a monthly recurring revenue stream, like a membership or mastermind, that means you have money coming into the business every month, even if you don’t make any sales.
As you can see, when chosen strategically, a scalable offer can address a financial weakness in your one-to-one service business making it more financially resilient so that it will support you not only with bringing more money into the business, but ensuring your business is more resilient to changes in the future.
2 – Offers the opportunity for increased visibility and being seen as the authority
As a one-to-one service business, you might find that you don’t work with many clients per year. Especially when you are selling high-ticket or premium services, it might be that you are working with less than 50 clients per year and have a thriving, profitable business. However, when you are only working with 10 to 50 clients per year it is easy to be a hidden gem. The pressure is on you to ensure that your marketing means that people know your business exists.
Now I’m all about taking responsibility for marketing your business and building a strong online presence that attracts your dream clients, but that being said, a scalable offer can bring masses of extra visibility without you having to do all of the work.
For example, in my business for years, I sold one-to-one strategy days where I helped business owners plan for the year ahead. But it was only once I created my group annual planning experience, Visionary CEO Planning Days, that I became known as The Annual Planning Queen. Instead of helping 1 client per day, I was helping 5 – 15 clients per day. That meant more people sharing about annual planning with me online. This helped to grow my position as an authority in this aspect, as well as increase my visibility.
Events are a fantastic way to increase to drastically increase your visibility and authority. For example, earlier this year I attended Laura Brunton’s The Ignited Woman Event (You can read my full review here). Laura is a one-to-one business coach and is likely to work with tens of business owners per year. But her event got over 250 women attending. Not only was Laura able to probably 10X the number of people who had directly been experienced by her work (which has other advantages that I’ll share more of in a moment), but afterwards there were so many posts online from people sharing their experience at the event.

3 – Allows you to have an offer suite that’s designed for repeat business and to maximise lifetime value
As a one-to-one service business, it’s easy to be in a place where repeat business doesn’t naturally make sense. This puts pressure on the business to constantly be looking for new clients and as you already know it’s harder, and more, expensive to acquire a new client that get an old client to buy again. But with some one-to-one services, it just doesn’t make sense once someone has bought once to buy again. This is where adding a scalable offer can be a smart move.
The right scalable offer can mean generating repeat business is much easier and means in the long-term you are maximising lifetime value (You can read more about lifetime value here). If you currently have one core one-to-one service you could add a scalable offer that would naturally lead people onto your one-to-one service or you could have a scalable offer that would be the natural next step for clients after your one-to-one service. Fore example, I had a financial coach client whose main offer was a 6-month coaching package. After the 6 months it didn’t make sense for clients to sign up again, but we all know money work is continuous. So the financial coach made a membership. Once people had finished working with her one-to-one they were offered the membership to ensure they continue to build on the work from their time one-to-one. This was an offer that absolutely built on the client experience, whilst also giving the business repeat business and a recurring revenue stream.
How you can add a scalable offer to strengthen your one-to-one business
As you’ve seen, there are multiple reasons why adding a scalable offer to your one-to-one service business is a smart move. Hopefully, now you’ve seen the value it can offer, you might decide to take scaling your business seriously.
Scaling your business when you want to ultimately just offer scalable offers is different to scaling when you want to balance alongside one-to-one work. With the latter, you’ll want to really think about your current weaknesses and use your scalable offer to strengthen them. You’ll also need to choose your scalable offer carefully so that it doesn’t have a negative impact and reduce the demand for your one-to-one services. When done wrong this can happen, but when done right, your scalable offer should mean there is even more demand for your one-to-one services.

That’s it. You now know why adding a scalable offer is one of the smartest things you can do for your one-to-one service business.
If you love offering one-to-one services, then you don’t have to stop, but that doesn’t mean you should ignore scaling altogether. The right scalable offer, as shown, will help with visibility, authority, marketing, sales and financial resilience. When done right, scaling will actually strengthen your one-to-one service business so that is more profitable now and is better positioned to last longer.
