THE IGNITED WOMAN EVENT 2026 BY LAURA BRUNTON: REVIEW AND TAKEAWAYS
What is the Ignited Woman Event?
The Ignited Woman Event is a one-day business event taking place in London and ran by Laura Brunton Coaching. Laura Brunton Coaching is ran by Laura and Jeff Brunton and positioned as a global business growth company. Laura is known for providing business coaching to vibrant women building businesses they love. And in addition to providing one-to-one coaching, they also run the Ignited Woman Events and the SuperConnector networking sessions. 2026 was the biggest Ignited Woman Event to date with 250 women attending the event at 30 Euston Square in London.
Key Takeaways
Welcome by Laura Bruton
The day kicked off with a welcome from the hostess with the mostess, Laura Brunton. She firstly reminded us of the power of manifesting. She shared a photograph where she had snuck on stage at 30 Euston Square (whilst at a Niyc Pidgeon event which is where I first met Laura) and 4 years later she was running her own event here. She encouraged us all to take a photograph up their during the day. So of course, I did.

This year the theme was ‘Your Business, Your Way’ (A theme close to my heart and exactly what I help my clients with). Laura led us through her framework for being in ‘Your Vibrant Era’, which involved looking at your people, your offer and your brilliance in order to work out Your V Spot. Everyone was left challenged to work out what trap they currently where in.
Takeaway
It’s easy for one part of your business to be in misalignment and that to throw everything off.
Making Adversity Your Superpower by Lisa Johnson
I’ll admit that when I saw the title of Lisa’s talk I was gutted. As a fellow business strategist I was hoping for something more strategy focused, but to my surprise I really enjoyed the talk.
Lisa shared her story of growing up in poverty on a council estate, being bullied, being in abusive relationship and ending up a single mum of twin boys. But how everything she went through gave her the drive to prove everyone wrong and that has been central to her building the wildly successful business she has now.
Takeaway: As someone who also grew up on a council estate by a single mum and experienced bullying I really resonated with the idea that adversity prepares you for obstacles (and in business there will be lots of obstacles thrown your way) and that you really can use your adversity as a form of motivation.
Authority Activation: How to stand tall in all conditions by Tamu Thomas
Having chosen Tamu’s book to PropelHer’s Book of the Month back in March 2025, I was gutted to have missed seeing Tamu speak at Atomicon 2025 and so was very excited about seeing her speak at The Ignited Woman 2026. Early on Tamu shared the wonderful image of a lighthouse and how lighthouses stand tall with their light going around and around, and people miss the light but that doesn’t mean the lighthouse moves. It stands tall, still and shines.
She then went on to talk about how relatable blend in, remarkable stands out and that she had been trying to be relatable and she seems so many women making the same mistake. Her message was clear that everyone needs to stop trying to be relatable if this causing you to downplay, play small, dim your light etc. Instead, we were told to proudly show off.
Takeaway: My biggest takeaway is not to alter how I am behaving or what I’m sharing online in order to be more relatable. I won’t be relatable to most people and that is fine. Most business owners, most entrepreneurs, most creatives, most experts and most geniuses are relatable. They never have been and they aren’t meant to be.
Sam Cooper Gray
Sam is the creator of Women Are Good Business, but I’ll admit I’d never heard of her or Women Are Good Business before the event. Her talk was stat-filled and talked about how women are getting less money, but are actually growing faster. And what a difference it would be to the economy if women had access to more funding, which she is on a mission to make happen.
Takeaway: I absolutely loved this session and left with so many things I needed to follow up with. The biggest takeaway for me was around how the system is built for people who want to scale and exit, whereas women want to run businesses for longevity and legacy.

The Courage to Go Beyond Palatable by Sophie Lee
Given I had been to the launch of Sophie’s book ‘Beyond Palatable’ back in March 2026 I had a good idea what to expect from this talk. Sophie talked about how women are so often told not enough – whether that be not pretty enough, not smart enough, not old enough, not young enough. But then we are also told we are too much. Being told we are too much makes many women shrink, but her view is that ‘When they say we are too much, what they really mean is we’re getting dangerously close to our full potential’.
Sophie then left the audience courage cultivators in order to address the courage emergency, which were:
- The courage to be seen
- The courage to be disliked
- The courage to build
Then Sophie talk ended with the whole audience singing ‘This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine’, which tied in beautifully with Sophie’s early message of us all shining brighter together liek fairy lights.
Takeaway: Personally for me this talk worked so well with Tamu’s. After already deciding to not worry about being relatable, I really connected with this idea about having the courage to be disliked.
Jo Tutchener-Sharp OBE
Jo Tutchener-Sharp OBE is the founder and CEO of Scamp & Dude, which is a close brand I have seen other women wearing at events, but had never looked into. Hearing Jo’s story was truly touching. The business grew off the back of her having brain surgery and wanting to create a superhero toy for her children. But now a decade on, it is a purpose-led, B Corp certified fashion brand.
Jo shared how the company started and has grown, as well as the realities of being a business that gives away so much to charity.
Takeaway: Creating a purpose-led business isn’t one to take lightly and isn’t something you can do halfheartedly.
Closing by Laura Brunton
To end the day the hostess with the mostess, Laura Brunton, took to the stage again. In the closing we were all encourage to decide on our one thing to change.

Review of The Ignited Woman Event 2026
The Ignited Woman Event 2026 was the biggest event so far with 250 women turning up. I had been to the Ignited Woman Experience back in 2024 and whilst the event had been a lot smaller, I had always remembered it being a lovely, high-vibe day (although very noisy and I left without much voice). So it came to no surprise that this event was filled with amazing high-vibe business woman and I spent the who day talking, with a bit of singing and dancing thrown in, so once again left without a lot of voice left.
I go to numerous events every year. I’ve been to Atomicon, Expert Empires, Social Media Fest, Digital Women, Accountex, brightonSEO, UK Black Business Show, Digital Marketing Summit, Quantum Shift by Suzy Ashworth, Millionaire Girl Next Door Experience by Rose Radford, The Psychology of Getting Rich Live by Niyc Pidgeon and more. And what Laura has created at The Ignited Women Event is totally different. And that is truly a testament to Laura.
Laura is my far one of the warmest, most-welcoming, caring, giving people I’ve come across in my entire time of business. This shines through whether she is running a private retreat for her VIP clients (which I had the pleasure of delivering an annual planning workshops in earlier this year) or whether running an event for 250 people.
At the beginning of the day Laura stood at the bottom of the stairs and hugged every person (I’m assuming if you didn’t want a hug you wouldn’t get one). That is something I’ve never seen at a business event before.
Talk wise Laura pulled together a fantastic combination of women. I’ll be super honest I’m a business geek so my preferred type of event / conference is where I get my notebook out and am writing down lots of notes as I’m learning something new. This wasn’t that type of event. However, I went through a rollercoaster of emotions from laughing one minute to crying the next, and I left feeling truly inspired to stop playing small in my business and to push myself and my business to the next level.
And it is so clear I was not alone. In the closing Laura asked everyone about the one thing we were going to change moving forward. From the conversations I had with people afterwards it’s clear so many women left ready to stop trying to fit in, stop playing small and stop dimming their light.
That’s it! You’ve heard my review and biggest takeaways from The Ignited Woman Event 2026 by Laura Brunton.
This year, I have drastically pulled back on attending live events, but I’m so glad I went to The Ignited Woman Event. I’m a big advocate for taking time out of your business and whilst it might not have been a business event that left me with 20 new things to try out in my business, it was good for my soul. It re-ignited the flame inside of me and left me motivated to continue to grow my business my way.
And the best news is that tickets for the next Ignited Woman Event are on sale. The Ignited Woman Event 2027 will be happening in Central London on the 20th May 2027. For all the information and to grab your ticket, click here.
